Presented by Todd Taylor of Fredrikson & Byron
The event will cover the recently passed JOBS Act and why it could be significant to entrepreneurs looking to raise money for private companies by:
- Allowing companies to find potential investors through advertising, the Internet, and other forms of public outreach that were illegal previously. The investors must be accredited, but there is no limitation on the amount of money raised or the number of investors.
- For the first time, allowing companies to utilize crowdfunding to raise up to $1,000,000 from small investors using online intermediaries.
Attending this event will provide you with the information you need to determine if your company can benefit from the new law and how to best proceed.
Our speaker, Todd Taylor, is an experienced securities attorney and Minnesota Cup judge. He will discuss the JOBS Act in detail and provide practical advice on raising money under the new law.
