Two new assistant professors specializing in quantitative modeling joined the Department this Fall - Linli Xu (Marshall School of Business, Univ. of Southern California) and Maria Ana Vitorino (Univ. of Chicago, Graduate School of Business and the Wharton School.)

In 2012, Professor Akshay Rao received the Curtis Cup Award for Outstanding Teaching in the Executive MBA program. Since 2002 five marketing dept instructors have earned the Carlson School Excellence in Teaching Award. This honor is the only annual award by the College Deans and Dept Chairs based on classroom excellence.
